Welcome Friends, Family, & Visitors!

Hello Jewelry/Fashion Lovers Orbiting the Blogosphere:

If you think/are at all like me, you are probably wondering why the heck, with all of the important things you have to accomplish in your busy day, you should read this blog. Well, that, my friends, is for you to determine, as I am not going to prescribe what you should do with your life & your time -- well, maybe only when it comes to your wardrobe & accessories! ;-) Maybe you should read this blog and then again, maybe you shouldn't. Whether you are fashion-obsessed or fashion-challenged, below is a mini-guide to the content of this blog, so you can decide whether or not you'd like to visit here often or perhaps subscribe to this blog (i.e., as an RSS feed):

Read this blog if you’re curious to know any of the following:
1. How to look & feel your best without losing your soul in the process! – Get no nonsense, down-to-earth fashion & makeup advice; discover new ways to accessorize your look in a age-appropriate, modern way; learn how to build the perfect wardrobe & organize your closet so you can actually find stuff to wear in there; & glean some really cool & completely new wardrobe/style ideas from the designer.
2. How to bring out your inner fashionista without letting her take over & run a-muck! In other words: How to remain sane & true to yourself in a world ruled by hyper-materialism, corporate greed, & reality-TV.
3. What this designer thinks about fashion, art, & culture – Her proclamations & original ideas, her design and business philosophies, and general thoughts on life & the universe.
4. What inspires her creations.
5. What it’s really like to run your own company, and be a jewelry designer.
6. How you, too, can get the guts to leave your job & start your own business.
7. How to juggle several balls in the air without going completely mental!

OK, so now that you've been briefed on the above, I'd like to welcome you to my blog. I encourage you to post your comments and feedback on the above fashion-related topics. The posting rules are simple: (1) Blog responsibly, and be respectful of others & their opinions; (2) No profanity, slurs, or vulgar language; and (3) Your comments should be relevant to the posted blog topic. If you have suggestions for other blog topics you'd like to see discussed here, you are welcome to email me at info@wildfiredesigns.com.

It's my goal to take the conversation beyond mere aesthetics and the superficial side of the fashion business, and instead expand the discussion to include topics such as the importance of creativity, the balance between art & commerce, ways to improve our lives through a modern, balanced, and well-planned wardrobe that reflects your current lifestyle and inner projections, & other related topics. For me, fashion is not just about meeting basic lifestyle needs; it's for building an interior emotional world that allows space for building upon hopes and dreams. With the proper tools and a healthy dose of realistic but compassionate self-analysis, it's possible to successfully project such intentions through your wardrobe, provided that your wardrobe choices are well-informed, and well-aligned with that vision. It's my intent in this blog to serve as your fashion guide & guru, to assist you on that path.

I would also encourage you to open your mind and be flexible when you first approach new ideas or methods, whether they be found here (in this blog) or elsewhere. I believe that habits (no matter what arena of life we are talking about) are generally a bad thing, because they allow you to walk through life unconscious. If you are alive, aware, and open to possibilities, and focus on what you have (instead of what you don't have), then a new idea beomces a gateway instead of a liability, threat, or impediment. If you let new ideas have their breathing space, and live with them for a while, (versus pouncing upon them like a rabid dog!), I think you'll find yourself suprisingly pleased with the results of your personal growth. I wish you much success in building a wardrobe that gives you the confidence to achieve your goals and dreams!

Here's to all of us finding inner peace, happiness, and our own unique style identity. ;-)

Hi Siopa,

Thanks for your wonderful comments & compliments. (BTW, did you happen to see the Blog Catalog shoutout I sent you? ;-) )

It's funny you mention Wordpress because I've been seriously considering switching over. The page layout & tools are much better. Now just have got to find the time to do the switchover. Have got 6 blogs, so it's going to take a while! ;-)

Thanks so much for subscribing to my blog!
